"Necessity is the Mother of all Invention"

  That was our rule of thumb when we invented our patented cloth pouch cover "Cov-r-Shield".  Most surgeon's and doctor's don't realize how many ostomates exist.   Every ostomy patient suffers from some degree of skin irritation.  Some patients suffer tremendously from blistering, fungus, or ulcerations. 

  "Cov-r-Shield" can solve many of these problems for patients.  "Cov-r-Shield" aides in the healing process by letting the skin breathe while keeping it dry.  Cov-r-Shield, LLC has spent the last 20 years doing Research and Development to help these patients.  Nurses have tried for years to help these patients with creams, powders and bandages.  With "Cov-r-Shield" there isn't a need for those things any longer.

  In August of 1985, a teenager girl, met a young woman while in the hospital.  The young woman was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease just a few years earlier and was in the hospital to have another surgery.  Out of that surgery grew a friendship with the teenager.  Over the next few months the young women visited each other and spoke on the phone.  On one visit the young woman talked about her illness, surgery, and problems she was having with skin ulcerations.  Over the next few visit the young women designed a cover to help keep the skin dry.  With great sadness, a few years later, the young woman with Crohn's Disease passed away.

  Since that time nothing has been made available for others who suffer from the same problems.  "Cov-r-Shield" will allow ostomy patients to continue with things they loved before surgery but haven't done since that time.  Healthy skin means a healthier attitude.  Healthy attitude means a more productive person.  "Cov-r-Shield" has started being manufactured and orders can be taken off this website.
